About Us

The Morehouse AI Academy is where learners build the knowledge, confidence, and leadership to shape an AI-enabled future. Housed in Morehouse College’s Center for Broadening Participation in Computing, the Academy offers practical, hands-on AI education grounded in Morehouse’s long tradition of developing leaders, and it is open to participants of all genders and backgrounds.

Our workshops go beyond tool demos. In every session, participants create something real: a college application plan, a working prototype, an AI-assisted video, or a business idea ready to test. Responsible use is built into everything we teach, including how to check AI’s work, protect your privacy, and think critically about what these tools produce.

Courses are taught by Morehouse faculty and staff, industry practitioners, and AI experts, with Morehouse students serving as teaching assistants. Sessions run on weekends and weekday evenings, in person on Morehouse’s campus and online. Participants who complete a workshop and its final project earn a Morehouse AI Academy microcredential.
